A Little Holiday Cheer
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I believe the holidays really do bring out the best in most people. The generosity we see throughout our community is amazing! There is just something about twinkling lights that seem to make spirits bright. For me, this season is really about the kids and all their wonder, imagination and innocence.
That is why I love helping Santa write letters to all your beautiful children. For those of you that got your wishes in, the letters are on their way to Santa for final approval and should be in your mailboxes very soon! If you didn’t get them in, keep an eye out for the announcement next year around November.
This year more than 60 children will be receiving letters. So many have had some really big accomplishments in 2018. Riley, age 8, jumped several reading levels. Garrett, age 6, can cross the monkey bars by himself. Alina, age 10, has been the star student three months in a row! Natalie, age 8 months, learned to crawl. There really were some amazing kids on my list this year. Congratulations to all of you for your accomplishments and good deeds. This also gives me a sense of what the popular gifts are. Lots of wishes for LOL and Barbie dolls, both are very popular in our house. Video games and Hoverboards are also big requests this year. My favorite wish came from Mason, age 7. Mason would like a remote controlled four jet engine airplane that can fly real people in it. Santa let him know that it is a little late in the season for design and testing of such an awesome new toy but assured him he had something special in mind for him. I remember the year my son asked for a surfboard race car, I panicked not wanting to disappoint our little boy. Ultimately, I think we convinced him to think of something else though.
Thank you again, to everyone that participated. This is such a special project for me every year. I’d love to see your children with their Letters from Santa. If you post them to Facebook or Instagram, please tag me! My page names are on the last page of this newsletter. Or a simple text or email will do as well, I can’t wait for the letters to land in your mailboxes.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, love and lots of laughter. Oh, and I hope you find what you’ve wished for under the tree on Christmas morning. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! See you in 2019!
